Install Media Codecs to Watch Videos or Movies:

sudo apt-get install unity-tweak-tool

Application Menus Customizations:

Opened will show up their menu on the top left side of the taskbar by default. If you don’t like app menu on top taskbar, you can change the behavior of the menu & Thanks to ubuntu to let us do this. To avoid any confusions working on the different task and windows you might need to change the behavior of the windows, to do so with that follow the below.

System Settings Then  “Appearance”-“Behavior” >>>>> Show the Menus for a Window/In the window’s title bar”. That’s it.

PC Protection Remove Guest Session:

Guest session is installed by default in ubuntu Distro. Ubuntu itself is a fighter against virus and other security issues. But to manage for better and ensure yourself to avoid any security problems, Remove the Guest Session. Thanks to Ubuntu for letting us removing this session from the lock screen. Simply follow the following commands to do so.

Extra Utility to Reset Unity:

Whenever something doesn’t look tuned to you, so you can revert all the changes by doing the Reset Unity.  Don’t Worry, there will be no harm to the OS or PC, it’s safe. Just copy and paste the following command in the terminal.

sudo apt install dconf-tools
 dconf reset -f /org/compiz/
 setsid unity
 unity --reset-icons
